Perfection I: A Prelude to Love by Jason Branton]
Oh how perfection seems to find it’s way
Into your area of view
And it flashes by you everyday
Unknown to all but you
So you walk into her routine track one day
And much to other admirer’s dismay
She looks at you with disarming smile
And asks if you would stay awhile
You both sit on the grass, sipping your tea
As you converse it becomes easy to see
How perfection seems to find it’s way
Into the playground that you visit to play
Now her eye’s look to you, and just make your day
These eyes have the strength to stop the things you want to say
But her loving nature unfreezes your worrisome heart
And you take this opportunity, for something could start
And your days seem to grow slow
You wince as your heart feels the toll
You heard absence made the heart grow fonder
But through this pain you began to wonder
When perfection would come and find it’s way
If next time would be the start of everyday
Oh how perfection seemed to find a way
To pull out your emotions, for this new game to play
