Plagiarism:

Plagiarism has always been a major issue online, but it does not have to be one. When content is submitted, for example, a biography about a historical character, it will always be checked for sources. Most schools in western countries have strict rules that direct quotes from books or other sources need to be attributed to the right source. We do not expect people who willingly spend their time translating or compiling works, and who do not get paid for it, to be excessive with these rules. Simply stating your sources is good enough. We hope site viewers can respect this. If the summary, biography or whatever is a direct copy of someone else’s work, however, it is a different matter. Let’s say someone directly copies one of Jonathan Wu’s biographies, makes a few altercations, and then puts it online. In those cases, we can appeal to the person who is doing the plagiarising, or the webhost, but we cannot use legal actions that often. We hope that people will respect the intellectual property of others one day, and we hope that everyone who enjoys going to this site will respect that as well. Remember that being copied is not a shame, and if it happens to work you, or a staff member posted here, we will announce the infringement on the main page for everyone to see. That is basically all we can about this, and we ask for your understanding. If you have questions, or want to alert us about plagiarism, please email .
