Zidane Tribal (Top)
Virtue: You don’t need a reason to help people
Age: 16
Class: Thief
Occupation: Member of Tantalus
Weapon: Daggers
Zidane Tribal, a young member of the very talented group of thieves known as Tantalus, is a young kindhearted thief who acts on impulse rather then the concepts of “good” or “bad”. Despite being a very skilled thief, which stereotypically gives him a bad reputation, Zidane has a strong sense of justice and always goes out of his way to help those in need. His one weakness is his loves for women, falling in love with every attractive woman he lays his eyes upon, but his policy of girls may change when Tantalus travels to Alexandria in order to capture a certain someone, but when going on this mission, Zidane changes his life forever...

 

Garnet Til Alexandros 17th (Top)
Devotion: Someday I will be Queen, but I will always be myself.
Age: 16
Class: White Mage/ Summoner
Occupation: Princess of Alexandria
Weapon: Rods
Although she has lived a life of luxury most of her life, and has been safe and protected in her royal world, Garnet has a great sense of what is right and wrong. As a result of her suspecting her mother, Queen Brahne, being up to some sort of evil, she plans to board the Theatre ship in order to travel to Lindblum where her uncle Cid resides. Little does she know that the crew of the theatre ship are none other then the group of thieves known as Tantalus, who coincidently plan to take her to meet Cid. Her journey with Tantalus, or more accurately with Zidane and an unexpected party, changes the life she thought she knew oh so well upside down.

 

Vivi Orunitia (Top)
Sorrow: How do you prove you exist...? Maybe we don’t exist...
Age: 9
Class: Black Mage
Occupation: Traveller
Weapon: Staffs
For as long as he can remember, Vivi had lived with his Grandpa in a cave not far from the City Treno, but when he reached the age of 9, his Grandpa past away. Vivi then travelled to Treno in order to catch a ship to Alexandria in order to see the famous play “I want to be your canary”. When arriving in Alexandria, Vivi does indeed see the famous play, but by doing so he is introduced to Zidane, and finds himself travelling with him, Garnet and Steiner to Lindblum. This dangerous journey awakens Vivi’s already very active black magic abilities, but it also makes Vivi question his very own existence...

 

Adelbert Steiner (Top)
Dilemma: Having sworn fealty, must I spend my life in servitude?
Age: 33
Class: Knight
Occupation: Captain of the knights of Pluto
Weapon: Long Sword
Captain of the Knight of Pluto and extremely loyal to the kingdom of Alexandria, Steiner has sworn to protect Princess Garnet at all costs, even if it means giving up his own life. His loyalty towards Alexandria blinds him from Queen Brahne’s new persona, but when Princess Garnet escapes Alexandria with Tantalus, Steiner joins the party in order to ensure Garnet’s safety and more to the point, to bring her back to Alexandria. However, due to the events that he witnesses when on this journey, Steiner soon realises that he should change his firm principles, and that Queen Brahne is indeed up to no good.

 

Freya Crescent (Top)
Despair: To be forgotten is worse than death.
Age: 21
Class: Dragoon
Occupation: Traveller, former Dragon Knight of Burmecia
Weapon: Spear
Five years ago, Freya left here hometown of Burmecia in search for her long lost love, the legendary warrior Sir Fratley. The previous year of which Sir Fratley had also left Burmecia in search of the ultimate challenge, but he swore that one day he would return to Burmecia and to her. After hearing that Burmecia may be a target by Queen Brahne, Freya begins to travel back to Burmecia in order to ensue its safety, but along her way, she goes through Lindblum where she meets up with her old friend Zidane. After finding out that Burmecia is indeed under attack, Freya races to her hometown along with Zidane and his party, and later finds herself directly involved in this magical journey...

 

Quina Quen (Top)
Indulgence: I do what I want! You have problem!?
Age: Unknown
Class: Blue Mage
Occupation: Chef
Weapon:Fork
Quina was the chief chef in Alexandria castle, but soon left and returned to Q’s Marsh due to her getting weary of the work. Quina seems to have some sort of connection to Vivi’s deceased Grandpa, but that connection is currently unknown. Qunia’s tribe lives for food, especially frogs, and when Zidane visits Q’S Marsh (which can be on two separate occasions) Quina decided to join the party in order to find more food in the world of Gaia. Through her journey, Quina learns much, and not only is she a great asset to the team, but as a result of her journey, she must face s/he’s ultimate challenge...

 

Eiko Carol (Top)
Solitude: I don’t wanna be alone anymore...
Age: 6
Class: White Mage/ Summoner
Occupation: None
Weapon: Flute
Eiko Carol is the last human inhabitant of Madain Sari; everyone she has ever known, ever cared for, ever loved were killed years ago by an heavy storm, apart from herself and her Grandfather, who passed away a year ago. As a result of which, Eiko is totally alone, and the only company she has is that of the many moogles living in Madain Sari, her closest friend being the moogle called Mog. For her age, Eiko is extremely intelligent, but does, however, have a very short temper. Eiko is the key for Garnet to find out her mysterious past, and when travelling with the gang, she is a key role in unravelling the mysteries of Gaia...

 

Amarant Coral (Top)
Arrogance: The only dependable thing about the future is uncertainty.
Age: 26
Class: Ninja/ Monk
Occupation: Mercenary
Weapon: Fists
When princess Garnet travels with Zidane and the rest of the party, Amarant is hired by Queen Brahne to locate Garnet and the rest of her friends. However, Amarant has a policy of making things fair, and thus finds himself helping Zidane when in a dilemma instead of helping finish him off. Amarant has an old grudge with Zidane, and it is Zidane who made Amarant into a criminal, which leads to Amarant wanting to fight Zidane when the odds are fair. Ultimately, Amarant begins travelling with Zidane and the rest of the gang in order to find out Zidane’s motive of fighting. Despite this, Amarant is still a lone wolf, but may his newfound friends change that?
